About

It is what it is – a blog, a place to talk, to ponder, to analyze, cause that’s just what I do.

I started this to chronicle my sudden life-changing self-realization that I’m a complete person that can find purpose.

Gotta think about all of that more, and I believe that writing will help me to continue the process.

Boring stuff –
I hold an Associate Degree in Data Processing (from way back in 1986!) and am actively pursuing my BS in Computer Information Systems with a Database Management concentration. With a total of 25 years in the IT field, my achievements span from 14 years as a well-respected systems analyst/programmer in civil government to many more years managing and executing the technical, internet, public relations, advertising, and financial and record keeping operations of my own company.

Who I am really -
I’m an Apple fan-girl, perfectionist, and all-around geek with a passion for computer programming and inspirational writing. I have a MacBook Pro as my primary computer and an HP ProBook for work with two external displays and all the other attachments. I use an iPad and iPhone and would really like to eventually get into iOS app programming. I live in my parents’ basement but don’t wear glasses… yet. I roller-skate, love Dr. Who and Firefly, and am a rocker from way back – Aerosmith, Ozzy, Metallica, Queensryche. Oh, and Christianity is baked into my DNA as well. I have two very cool kids – my daughter is 19 and is drop-dead gorgeous with brains to match, and my 9 year old son is finally deciding it’s not too bad to be a momma’s boy!

Back to work! I am a lead ambassador for DeVry University and its Keller Graduate School of Managment’s The DriVen Class, and I’m very excited to be a part of this awesome inspirational movement! We are a group of students, alumni, faculty, staff, and other members of the community, empowering and supporting each other in our education, careers, and life in general. I believe that we can achieve anything that we set our sights on; we just have to know how to focus, aim, and not be afraid to pull the trigger! If you’ve read this far about me then I hope you will wander on over to The DriVen Class and become a part of it. We’d simply love to have you!
